Her professional versatility first shone at Leica Camera AG in the sales domain, where she demonstrated an exceptional knack for business. Her experience expanded through roles at Kuehne+Nagel and Lufthansa Systems AS, where she delved into logistics and process optimization, gaining insights pivotal to her future endeavors.
Claudia’s passion for sustainability took a definitive shape during her involvement with the Technical University of Hamburg Harburg. Here, she deepened her understanding of sustainable practices and began shaping her vision for a greener future.
In 2020, this vision materialized into reality with the founding of Up-Preneurs (UPSTREAM), a culmination of her experiences and dedication to the circular economy. Up-Preneurs reflects Claudia’s holistic approach, blending innovative research with practical applications in sustainable design. The journey of Claudia Allonas with Ewance began in the summer of 2022, a pivotal moment that marked the start of a significant collaboration. Facilitated by a connection from Jumpp in Frankfurt, this initial engagement swiftly transitioned into a focused and fruitful dialogue about potential projects aligning with her expertise in sustainable business practices.
The project, centered around the principles and practices of the circular economy championed by Claudia and her startup Up-Preneurs, quickly garnered interest from an academic institution renowned for its commitment to sustainability. From September to December 2022, Claudia embarked on this collaborative venture, which was not just a project but a convergence of academic insight and practical application. Her unique blend of cultural insights, professional experiences in logistics and process optimization, and a passionate commitment to sustainability, drove the project’s direction and execution.
This period was marked by a dynamic exchange of ideas, rigorous work, and the practical application of circular economy concepts. To manage the project’s complexity, the large group was divided into seven smaller teams, with four distinct subtasks. This division meant that some subtasks were handled by two groups, providing an opportunity to compare different approaches to the same problem. Observing the varied methodologies and solutions offered by each group was enlightening for Claudia and her team.
The diversity in problem-solving strategies led to a rich array of solutions, offering valuable insights for Claudia’s startup. The outcomes of this collaboration are particularly significant as they will contribute to the development of the digital platform Up-Preneurs is currently working on.
